Merry Christmas everyone!!! For the past 5 years I’ve really been pouring my creative heart out when it comes to creating our family Christmas card! Before we had the girls…we used to always include and sometimes highlight our dog maggie. She’s a 10 year old yellow lab now…and although she’s still VERY hyper when you first meet her….she’s super lovable and quite trainable too. CLICK HERE to see her video from years ago…showing her most famous trick. So I knew we’d be able to get here to “pose” how I wanted for a card. So here they are….Christmas cards over the years:
We got Maggie as a puppy in 2003 a few weeks after we were married. She’s been an amazing, loving sweet and CRAZY dog!

This year we were blessed with our first pregnancy…notice the baby belly. We also have a cat Tyler (who’s not quite as easy to pose as Maggie…but she is an amazing cat…even cat haters usually like her!

Evie’s first appearance on our card….She had just started standing on her own that fall and this idea popped in my head.

This is my all time favorite christmas carol (which they don’t play enough on the radio station…thank goodness for iphone/ipod technology)

This card is quite possibly my favorite that we’ve ever done. We were brainstorming (as we usually do on a long car ride) and as the creative juices started flowing….Andy said “what about tickle me Evie?” (we already had an Elmo costume from my mom had made from this post) Perfect! I ran with it….my brain started spinning with ideas and this is what we came up with. It was also fun to announce the upcoming arrival of our second baby! A few friends and family told me they almost threw it away at first because they thought it was junk mail!!!

We went back and fourth with this year’s card. I’ve always been a fan of silhouettes and this year kept thinking…is there anyway I can make our silhouette into musical notes for a song???…..and as I kept working on it and putting it together I decided to make the front look like an itunes gift card 🙂

Since this was our first card with our new baby girl Josie…we came up with the song “Santa Baby”
Did you get it??? Here’s the lyrics for you to help:
“Santa baby, slip a sable under the tree, for me I’ve been an awful good girl
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa Baby, a fifty-four convertible too, light blue
I’ll wait up for you dear
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight”

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a safe, happy and healthy New year!
