I LOVE Halloween and I LOVE dressing up with my family as a group whenever we can.  Click here  to see our costumes over the years.

I had this great idea last January……”we should totally go as the FROZEN crew for halloween this fall”   I had NO idea every other little girl would choose to be Elsa, Anna or Olaf.   But we didn’t let that stop us from going with our plan AND trying to include as many details as possible.   I was hoping to put reindeer antlers on our dog Maggie to really finish out the crew….BUT we just ran out of time and energy to add her.   These shots are from the night we went trick or treating.   It was super fun for kids to say  “Mommy that’s Big Anna” or “wait who’s he…..OH it’s KRISTOFF”  and “look how cute Olaf is”

A huge thank you to my super talented Mom who sewed most of these costumes for us.   We are so grateful and had such a blast in them.  Also a BIG thank you to my husband Andy for agreeing to a wearing all the details in his costume.  The girls will cherish these moments forever and I’m so glad he’s easy going and will do just about anything for them…and me 🙂

Check back on Sunday as we have a big halloween party Saturday night and we will be adding a character to our little crew.   I’ll be posting photos from that on Sunday.   194A1062194A1030

Howdy!!!!   Notice any changes here???  I finally got the facelift I’ve been dreaming of, working on and visualizing for my new blogsite!   I want to take a moment and send a shout out and give credit to the gentleman who created my amazing logo!  THANK YOU Ryan at Second Street Creative!  You did an outstanding job and I love it!

This project actually started almost 3 years ago!!!  I know…you might be thinking…that’s a long time.  I started to get really frustrated with myself that I was having trouble making decisions about how exactly I wanted my new logo and site to look and feel….along with all the time involved to create it.   I’ve had the logo ready from Ryan for quite sometime…..it was just time for me to finish putting together my site.  Now that it’s all come together I’m absolutely loving it and I’m okay with how long it took.  Besides…who needs to be that hard on themselves???  My mom kept reminding me all that has happened in the last 3 years…..and well…there has been a lot!  We’ve sold a house and bought a house, moved twice, been blessed with the birth of our second daughter along with other close family and friends having babies….and we’ve also suffered the loss of loved ones, in our immediate family along with distant family and friends.  I also enjoy being a “most of the time” stay at home mom (i stay home with them about 90% of the time)  Along the way I’m constantly trying to find the appropriate balance between how keep the home life and the business life both alive and thriving!  My pediatrician told me recently  “remember… a few years from now…your children won’t even want to be around you!”  Although that’s a little depressing to try and think about….It’s most likely true.   For now I’ll continue loving as many moments as I can with these sweet girls (and my loving husband) as long as possible and remind myself it’s okay to only accept a limited number of weddings and sessions each year.   I’ll be able to shoot more down the road when these girls don’t need me as many hours out of the day.  Or when they don’t want to play legos, dress-up or have silly random dance parties in the living room.  I’m trying not to get depressed as I’m typing here 😉  Here is a much needed update of the last 5 months!

Here we are at Easter
